New multicultural series hits free online channel

Cassidy’s series on the most populous non-Irish national communities in the country is now available for viewing on TVIE, here.

The series features Irish based communities from Brazil, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Romania and Spain.

“It was a fabulous project to work on,” revealed Cassidy. “We found ourselves in the homes of Ambassadors one day and trying homemade Lithuanian food the next. The cultures we explored were all very interesting and the people were lovely. One thing that really struck me, though, was the challenge that parents from these communities have, bringing up children who are immersed in their Irishness, but with a strong sense of tradition from their parents’ homelands. It’s a tricky balance!.
